Each turn you can move and attack a limited number of times (shown in the HUD), then end your turn to earn reinforcements and let Rome respond. Attack and move counts reset every turn based on the difficulty you picked.
How are reinforcements calculated?
Gaul earns a base amount plus a bonus for territory held and controlled regions. Rome's reinforcements follow a difficulty-based curve that shrinks as it loses provinces — the Roman war machine gets weaker the more ground it loses.
What do the difficulty levels change?
Easy, Normal, and Hard change how many attacks/moves you get per turn (4/3/2) and how aggressively Rome's AI plays. Hard difficulty is unlocked separately.
My progress disappeared — where did it go?
Your campaign saves automatically to your device as you play. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, or the map data changed in a game update, an old save may no longer be compatible and a new campaign will start.
Does the game work offline?
Yes. The full campaign plays offline. An internet connection is only used for optional analytics and crash reporting, which never affects gameplay.
I bought something but it's not showing up. What do I do?
Try "Restore Purchases" in the menu. If it still doesn't appear, email us with your purchase receipt from the App Store and we'll sort it out.
The app is stuck or crashed. What now?
Force-quit and reopen SPQR. If the issue keeps happening, email us with your device model, iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened — that's the fastest way for us to fix it.
